Hand in Hand Exhibit

I have joined hands with other artists who have chosen to

illustrate headlines about the Iraq war.

I have week Sept 21-26. Here is what I chose to illustrate:

Sept 21- Air Force officer takes shoffers covered in camouflage material to jewish soldiers in Iraq.I covered a horn of plenty to emphasize a range of aspects for the soldiers.

Sept22-Camp Bucca is closing. This has held some of the most vicious criminals of this war.

Sept23-Smile you're on Iraq TV. WE have influenced the Iraqi culture ..by being there even in their TV shows. They have a TV show called Who Wants All the Oil?" which is a spin off of our "Who Wants to be a Millionaire ?"

Sept 24- US soldiers are packing up.

Sept 25Beau Biden. The VP,Joe Biden's oldest child returned from his short tour of duty in Iraq.

Sept 26 - Mothers struggle with raising their kids and keeping their commitment to duty in Iraq.

This work is on display at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green ,Kentucky. Cecelia Kane is the originator of this art project. We are both members of Women's Caucus for the Arts in Georgia.
